One of the most famous Gold Coast parks, tourists and locals alike enjoy the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens.

The Gardens are set on 31 hectares. The Gardens provide a variety of experiences for everyone to enjoy. Smell and touch plants and flowers at the Sensory Garden, visit the native Butterfly Garden, smell the roses in the Rose Garden, watch the kids play in the children’s playground, take a stroll around the lake or sit down for a picnic.

Best of all, entrance is free. Spend a few hours amidst peaceful natural surroundings. There are tons of garden attractions to enjoy.

The Mangroves to Mountains Walk was inspired by the concept of using endemic vegetation in garden settings. A key feature of the Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens, the Mangroves to Mountains Walk showcases more than 12,000 plants. The garden is linked by a network of formal and informal pathways.

The Horticulture Display Garden showcases a broad palette of plants from around the globe as well as native Australian plants. Plants lovers and horticulturalists will love the impressive plant and flower collection which includes red flowering eucalypts, bottlebrushes, grevilleas, gardenias, magnolias and others. Wander around the garden and marvel at the ever changing parade of flowers.

The Sensory Garden is specially designed for disabled visitors to interact with nature in a safe environment. The specifically chosen plants stimulate the senses. The Sensory Garden is a unique attraction for everyone to enjoy.

The Rose Garden boasts of various roses. Designed and planted by the Gold Coast Rose Society, see these flowering beauties in full bloom.

Aside from plants and flowers, the Botanic Gardens also feature a range of native birds. Admire the birds, but please don’t feed them.

The Gold Coast Regional Botanic Gardens are open year round, from dawn to dusk each day. The Gardens are located off Ashmore Road, Benowa just a few minutes away from the 5 Star Gold Coast Resorts.
